I'm Going Political on Your A$$!

Wondering why the strange title? Let me tell you, A$$ is spelled with dollar symbols one reason and one reason only.

Politics = Money - (Equality for All)

I am a native Michigan country girl as heart, and you better believe I always will be. I grew up there, my friends who I can never forget, my close bond with families who I simply adore, and the scenery of endless greens and cornfields I walked in on those perfect days to clear my soul.

Michigan has hit damn near rock bottom, and the state government is not doing its part. For those of you who have kids in school, I want you to imagine finding out the budget will be taking $292 dollars per student. That means less things for your child to learn and develop. It's an outrage. Education is something every child needs to go on with life. I learned to love reading, writing, fun field trips to art museums, all in school. Take this money away and the fun side projects will be gone, leaving your child one assumption about school.

It. will. suck.

If that's not enough, now the government wants to force a health plan! One that doesn't include the Senators or Members of Congress to participate in! I'm sorry, but what? You expect us to go in willingly when the leaders taking us there won't follow? No way. That's absurd! I don't even think I could have that craziness in a book, no matter how I swung it.

So I'm asking you, all of you, click on these links/addresses below to stop the education cuts that will put more teachers, secretaries, paraprofessions, custodians, etc. out of a job, where they won't be able to find another one, and that will crush our future generations optimism through school. Also, speak up and demand with John Fleming his Amendment that will automatically enroll ALL of Congress Members and Senators, not just the people, in this supposed brilliant health plan.

One letter/vote could make the difference. I'm not one to go all cycotic on politics, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Plus, we're all writers, give it to them, not to the point where you'll get people knocking on your door, but to make them speechless. I'm doing my letters right now.

Freedom of Speech baby, that's one thing us writers know to appreciate!

MAKE THE CONGRESS AND SENATORS TAKE THE HEALTH PLAN!

STOP THE BUDGET CUTS! SAVE THE KIDS!
Send a letter/email to any or all of these people to make the message clear, even if you write one of these two messages below.

1. Restore the budget cuts to K-12 education now. (There are some tax loopholes that can be closed to restore the latest $127 cut.)

2. Start working on a new, more equitable and stable system for funding K-12 education in Michigan.

WHAT?! Almost $300 per kid? How on earth will they get the education they need?!

I think what some choose to see as "the government forcing a health plan", to others instead appears as finally offering the 40+ million in the US who can't get healthcare insurance, under the current HMO-run system, the opportunity to do so.

Nice to see the US finally coming into the modern-era where universal healthcare is concerned.

Got something to add or tell? Do it I don't bite! =D
